The medals keep going to SKCC track riders:  Another great weekend at the 2013 Victorian State Masters Track Championships for SKCC riders. SKCC men dominated a number of podium finishes across the weekend. Trevor Griscti was the stand out rider for the weekend claiming Gold in the time-trial and then backing this up with Silver in the pursuit. Not to be outdone by the men, the girls claimed positions on the podium for every event they entered on Saturday in the time trial and the pursuits. New to track riding and competing in her first pursuit event, Sarah Maw managed a silver medal, Dale Maizels brought home silver medals in the time trial and the pursuit. Marita Box followed in the foot-steps of her youngest son’s track racing titles with a Gold in the time trial.

SKCC track riders continue to make their presence known at these state level events and once again the conduct and the professionalism of the SKCC riders at last weekend’s event did their club proud. From the grandstand you could see the SKCC riders in their striking club kit keeping together and supporting each other. A very professional look which was commented on by many spectators who were watching the weekend’s events.

Special thanks over the weekend must go to Daryl Perkins. Daryl volunteered his time to guide and assist the SKCC track riders while managing to do all emergency bike repairs, record all split times for every race, offering pre-race strategies to the riders to name just a few.
