The leaves have started to return to the trees, the footy season is very nearly at an end, and there’s a bit of warmth lingering in the air – it can only mean one thing, Spring/Summer Crits are back!

It will have been 26 cold weeks since the 2012 SKCC Crit Champs last April and that’s a long time in the Melbourne competitive road cycling scene. The new crit season brings with it reduced entry fees, the return of the Total Rush and NEOMETRO/Beller race series, newcomer TFM’s two race series, and what promises to be some of the most exciting racing seen in years.

Furthermore, the good people from GIANT will be set up each week in pit lane to deal with last minute tweaks and assist with problems that may arise with bikes race days.

Sunday October the 7th is when it all begins again and to help keep you nourished at the season opener, members Kat Lee and Fiona Neuwirth will be on the tongs at the BBQ to raise money for Ronald McDonald House. Be sure to bring a few extra dollars for a good feed, and a good cause.

Also on hand will be Dr Darragh McGovern from Instinctive Chiropractic to do free spinal and posture assessments – you tune your bike to get the best out of it, why not find out whether your spine needs a tune up too.

What more could you want from your Sunday morning?
