DirtyDeedsCyclocross_July2011

Need a laugh on Sunday afternoons or some winter cross training? Come along to the next Dirty Deeds cyclocross race in August and have some fun in the mud !

Melbourne is the capital of the fledgling cyclocross scene in Australia and Round 2 of this second season was raced on Sunday at Coburg North.

There’s a video here of Round 1 (yes, some familiar faces from SKCC) and you’ll hear the interviewer say ‘Don’t let the chicks beat you’. A video of Round 2 made by Bec Domange is a good showing of what the race is about. If you want to play in the mud, come along. It’s a CA event so you’re good to go with a full licence OR day permit and a bike.

See the DDCX website for details and civilised start times. So bring the cow bells, kids, bike, whatever and hopefully we’ll see you at Round 3 on 21 August at Brunswick velodrome.

The photo above shows SKCC’S Nadine Le Mescan (L) and Amy Bradley (R) running up a very muddy hill. Amy won the women’s race and Nadine came 3rd. Both had an absolute ball !
