WOW what a finish to the year! The Shimano Supercrit had its biggest attendance in its short history and for the first time we offered live streaming via cyclingtips.com. The VelPro had over 100 riders on the Friday before the race and was a huge success. A massive thank you goes out to all the fantastic volunteers both on the day and in the lead up to the event. We are very fortunate that our club has so many supportive members! We have already had our Shimano Super Crit debrief and will be working to make the event even more special for 2015. Again; thank you to the riders, sponsors, spectators and volunteers.

The club and its members achieved some great results over the year. It’s been a proud year to be an SKCC member.  We are continuing to try different things and raise the bar, and we have some new and exciting initiatives coming out in the New Year. Financially the new committee is steering SKCC back on course.

The SKCC Kid’s Race that was washed out will be rescheduled for the same day as the Club Champs on 19th April. The club is working hard to improve our offering to our recreational and social riders, and we will continue to improve the presence and impact of our Juniors. Track will continue to grow as will Mountain Biking.

The social scene is going to be even bigger in 2015, with many great events planned, and we will be making a major announcement with our new Business Networking group. There’s lots planned for SKCC members in the New Year.

I hope you and your family have a very happy, safe and puncture-free Christmas. See you on the road (or at Café Racer).
