What are Latte Laps ?
Learn the art of criterium racing with Olympian Rob Crowe and his Ridewiser/SKCC mentors over three skills sessions. Learn skills that you can use for both racing and everyday riding including rolling turns, pairs riding, cornering, echelons, gatekeeping, sitting a wheel, time trialling etc.
Where?
SKCC Crit Circuit - White St, South Melbourne. Melways Ref 2EF11
Registration on the day opens at 6:15am and closes at 6:45am sharp. It’s always appreciated if you arrive before 6:30am if you need to purchase a race permit.
Start Time: Session begins at 6:45am and finishes at 7:45am.
Who can participate?
Any male or female with a road bike. (No tri-bars, flat bar handlebars or mountain bikes). Experience at racing is not necessary to participate.
Licence/Insurance Requirements
You will need ONE of the following; a full competitive licence OR a recreational licence OR a 3 race permit (purchased on the day) OR a day licence (purchased on the day).
Session Cost
All sessions are free of charge to all participants, with current SKCC members receiving a complimentary coffee after the session.

All participants must first REGISTER online to be booked into a proposed session time-slot by the administrator. If in a group, advise your session-day preference and ideal time-slot options (e.g. 7am – 8am Thursdays)

Attend your ergo session at Level 1, Rear Entrance via the Laneway, 30 Inkerman Street, St Kilda

Bring drink bottle, hand-towel, gym or cycling clothes, runners or cycling shoes with your own pedals (note: showers are on site).

Organised groups of 7 or more riders mean you can pick your time-slot, pick your program, pick your friends & everyone gets a Ridewiser Drink Bottle too!

WOMEN'S DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Have you been racing for a season, or more ? Are you still missing pieces of the puzzle when racing tactically ? Learn how to read a race, and fully understand and implement tactics that will help you win OR improve your finish.
How ? SKCC Women have the benefit, free of charge, of four comprehensive skills sessions written by Rebecca Domange.
- Who is Rebecca Domange ?
Bec is an experienced cyclist competing at the elite end of competitive cycling. A member of the TDT Bikeforce R.A.C.E. women's team, Bec is taking a step back from competitive cycling. She is a qualified Level One coach (and a PE teacher) and has a passion for developing women's race craft skills to assist women to thrive in the peloton.
