The 2010-2011 summer crit season will run from Sunday 9 October 2010 at our circuit in South Melbourne - yes, it's actually South Melbourne and not Port Melbourne!  Race start/finish in White Street (Melways ref 2E F11). We usually start a week earlier but we've put it off this year until the 9th in favour of The World Cup in Geelong.

Race entry is $15 for all grades except E grade, which is $10.

All riders MUST show a valid Cycling Australia racing licence OR proof of renewal from Cycling Australia OR printout of online renewal. SKCC adopts a strict "No licence, no race" policy. If you forget your licence, or proof of renewal, you're welcome to purchase a one day licence ($30). Registration closes 5 mins before race start to ensure all riders are on the start line for race briefing.  So get there early to register.

Please refer to the Calendar for more details. All riders should bring their current licence or receipted application form to be able to race plus $15 to enter.  For insurance reasons we adopt a strict policy of No Licence No Ride.

8:00am     *E GRADE: 25mins + 3 laps  (under control & marshalled by Total Rush crew)
                 WOMEN A&B: 35mins + 3laps

8:45am       D GRADE: 40mins + 3 laps
                   B GRADE: 55mins + 3 laps

9:45am       C GRADE: 50mins + 3 laps
                   A GRADE: 60 mins + 3 laps

FAMILY FRIENDLY MORNING OUT
Most Sunday mornings Michael will have his van there selling great coffee, paninis and other yummy snacks.  And if you're lucky Jeff Provan will be there on the microphone calling the racing as well, and maybe even Ernesto the Basque (or is he a Spaniard?) calling things in Spanish for that Euro feel!  Bring your family and friends down to watch as well - what better way is there to spend a Sunday morning?

 E GRADE FOR THE SUMMER SEASON
As part of the 2009/10 SKCC Crit Race Calendar, we will continue to offer "E" grade entry level racing every Sunday.  E Grade will only be available to new riders with little or no experience. Racing will commence at 8:00am SHARP, and will be 25 mins + 3 laps; with the cost being $10.

E Grade races will be supervised by experienced A or B Grade SKCC riders from Total Rush Bicycle Store, who will assist with riding and racing tips.  So it’s a great opportunity for new riders to gain confidence and race experience!

DAY PERMITS
Day Permits can be purchased on the day of racing. They cost $20 plus $15 race entry. Just make sure that you arrive half an hour before start time to complete the paperwork.

3 Ride Permits can be purchased on the day of racing. They cost $35 plus $15 race entry. Just make sure that you arrive half an hour before start time to complete the paperwork. If you decide to upgrade to a full licence during the current racing year, $27.50 of this cost comes off your licence.
