Approximately five years ago Cycling Australia introduced an initiative called “VIP Licences”.  One of the aims of this initiative was to  encourage young women into competitive cycling by providing them with a 12 month licence free of charge.

This initiative is available to women who meet the following criteria:
- aged between 19yrs of age and 29yrs of age
- have never held a Competitive Licence before.

Cycling Victoria allocate SKCC a limited number of licences each year to distribute.
