Important updates to Women's Racing at SKCC - 7/2/14
To ensure we cater to all levels of Women's racing the SKCC Committee has agreed to offer Elite women the opportunity to race both Men's B Grade AND Women's A Grade at the SKCC Crits. Only one entry fee is payable.
This initiative is intended to provide Elite women with the opportunity to extend themselves by racing against men and women on the same day. You may not wish to take up the opportunity every week, but the offer is there should you need it.
SKCC Policy is as follows:
- To race Men's B, Elite Women must race Women's A as well
- This initiative does not apply to Men's C, D or Men's A Grade
- The Elite women who are eligible for this initiative are listed below
- Requests (ambush) on the day will not be considered.
- If you have a friend who has been omitted from this list, please have them email me before race day.
Further to this, please respect our Women's A Grade initiative. If you race Men's B and are "cooked", please participate in the Women's A Grade race as a mentor for those who have been newly promoted to Women's A Grade at a Club level. This initiative is not intended to decimate numbers in our Women's only Grades.
NB: The definition of "Elite" in the context of this initiative is that you must be able to handle yourself and keep up in a Men's B Grade bunch. You need to be with the main Men's B Grade bunch on the bell lap. It's also expected that you will finish the race and not withdraw.
List @ 07/02/2014
